Rafael Jorge Negrete – Christmas in the Mexican Style

BIOGRAPHY:

 

Rafael Jorge Negrete, originally from Mexico City, is an internationally recognized baritone, holding a degree in Opera Singing from the National Conservatory of Music. His career includes performances in prestigious cultural venues such as the National Arts Center, Teatro de la Ciudad, Palace of Fine Arts, and Teatro Bicentenario, among others.

 

His paternal family is from Jalisco, and on his mother’s side, he is the grandson of the Mexican icon Jorge Negrete, born in Guanajuato.

 

Rafael has performed leading roles in operas such as Puccini’s La Bohème, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, Bizet’s Carmen, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. He has also sung as a dramatic tenor in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Puccini’s Turandotand Tosca, and Verdi’s Aida and Nabucco.

 

With a repertoire ranging from opera to Mexican folk music, he has given concerts in countries such as France, Germany, Japan, and the United States, in cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as well as in Spain, in Madrid and Pamplona.

 

In film and television, he has starred in commercials, soap operas, and movies such as El Hermano Martín and Padre Pro.
