BIOGRAPHY:

 

Ricardo Castañeda (Oboe)

Ricardo Castañeda is a distinguished oboist with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in musical performance from Northwestern University, where he studied with Ray Still. He is currently the principal oboist of the Chicago Sinfonietta and the English horn soloist with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra. With an extensive career as a soloist and ensemble member, he has performed with various orchestras and opera companies, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Lyric Opera. Additionally, he is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University.

 

Andrew Snow (Cello)

Andrew Snow is a distinguished cellist known for his versatile performances and contributions to chamber music. With a rich career performing with numerous orchestras and chamber groups, he brings deep musicality to his performances. He is an integral part of the Chicago Panamerican Ensemble.

 

Beatriz Helguera-Snow (Piano)

Beatriz Helguera-Snow is a pianist renowned for her exceptional skill and collaborative performances. She has played a significant role in various chamber music settings, particularly with the Chicago Panamerican Ensemble. Her dedication to musical education and performance is evident through her involvement in multiple musical institutions and her contributions to the chamber music repertoire.

 

These artists, together, bring great experience and artistry to the Chicago Panamerican Ensemble, enriching the ensemble’s performances and educational outreach.
