Mexico Vive is a musical spectacle that celebrates the cultural richness of our country through a journey of life and death, featuring more than 70 artists on stage. The production blends traditional Mexican music, opera, mariachi, and folk dance into an emotional visual and auditory experience.
It will take place at the Ángela Peralta Theater in San Miguel de Allende, on November 7 at 7:00 PM.
The event will feature tenor Rafael Jorge Negrete, soprano Karina Peguero, and singer-songwriter José Pablo Gamba, along with the Opera Company of the Karina Peguero Institute of Arts, the Mariachi Monumental “San Juan”, and the Dance Company of San José Iturbide.
Rafael Jorge Negrete — Tenor
A descendant of a great artistic tradition, Rafael Jorge Negrete is a Mexican tenor recognized for his powerful voice and passionate interpretation of traditional music. He has brought Mexican song and opera to national and international stages, standing out for his elegance and commanding stage presence.
Karina Peguero — Soprano
A distinguished Mexican soprano, Karina Peguero combines operatic technique with the passion of traditional Mexican music. She is the founder of the Karina Peguero Institute of Arts and has trained new generations of artists. Her versatility has led her to shine both in opera and in symphonic and popular concerts.
José Pablo Gamba — Singer-Songwriter
A composer and singer-songwriter with a sensitive and profound style, José Pablo Gamba weaves themes of identity, history, and love for Mexico into his lyrics. His music fuses the contemporary with the traditional, creating a genuine connection with audiences through his authenticity and poetic message.
