About Diego Cerroblanco
Diego Cerroblanco is a Mexican composer, arranger, and performer whose work explores the intersection of contemporary jazz and the roots of Mexican music, bringing instruments deeply connected to Mexican tradition, such as the guitarrón, into a musical language shaped by improvisation and contemporary creation.
A graduate of JAZZUV, he is the director of Mariachi México Contemporáneo and co-founder of Maquinita de Ficción. His career includes performances throughout Mexico and abroad, as well as participation in projects featured at the Festival Internacional Cervantino.
He is also a member of La Calandria, a project that has collaborated with artists including Natalia Lafourcade, Silvana Estrada, and Son de Madera.
